The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslingers followed. The man in black, in this case, being one Copernicus Blackburne, a former agent of the Pinkertons and a master of both alchemy and steam mechanization. The legend goes that Allan Pinkerton commissioned Mr. Blackburne to build a gun that could kill the Devil himself. Blackburne accepted the challenge and delved deep into the dark arts and forgotten lore, but he ended up getting more than he bargained for. Now he walks the earth a madman, driven by some possessing spirit on a task beyond comprehension. In his wake he’s left a string of murdered Pinkertons, marshals, Texas Rangers, and scores of innocent folk. He must be stopped—but no one’s figured out how to do it yet.
